Hiram Farm Living and Learning Community

Hiram Farm Living and Learning Community is a nonprofit organization that provides services for adults with developmental disabilities, with an emphasis on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The mission of the Farm is to provide opportunities for these adults to grow, learn, work, and live in a setting focused on respect and support for individuals and the environment.

Rooted in environmental stewardship and respect for the land, our farm-based model integrates hands-on agricultural work with meaningful life skills development. Farmers (the adults we serve) learn both indoors and outdoors — from planting, harvesting, animal care, and land management to culinary preparation, communication skills, vocational training, and daily living skills.
Our creative arts program further enriches this experience, offering opportunities for self-expression, confidence building, and skill development through visual arts and other creative practices. The arts provide an important pathway for communication, emotional growth, and community connection.
In addition, Hiram Farm offers reliable transportation services to individuals across surrounding counties, ensuring consistent access to programming and community engagement. Our active social inclusion program fosters meaningful connections beyond the farm through community outings, partnerships, and participation in local events — supporting belonging, independence, and full participation in society.
