REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
In-person Voting
You must bring one valid unexpired ID with your picture.
The following are acceptable documents:
- Ohio driver’s license
- State of Ohio ID card
- Interim ID form issued by the Ohio BMV
- U.S. passport or U.S. passport card
- U.S. military ID card
- Ohio National Guard ID card
- U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs ID card
It’s okay if the address on the ID is not current. Digital IDs (such as mobile driver’s license) are not accepted.
By Mail
Mail-In ballots must be received by your County Board of Elections on Election Day, not simply postmarked by Election Day.
You will need one of the following acceptable documents to complete your mail-in ballot:
ID number of one of the accepted IDs listed at left. (No photo required.)
OR
Last four digits of your Social
Security number

REGISTERING TO VOTE OR UPDATING REGISTRATION
Download a voter registration form or register online. Visit olvr.ohiosos.gov. You will need the following information to register online:
Ohio driver license or Ohio
identification card number- Name
- Date of Birth
- Date of Birth
- Address
Last four digits of your
Social Security number
Scan the QR code to:
- Check your registration, polling location and absentee ballot status.
- Confirm dates and hours for in-person early voting at your BOE and drop box hours.
- Review your ballot before Election Day.
- Get election Information and answers to your voting questions.

POLLING LOCATION ASSISTANCE
Transportation to the polls is not required in Ohio law.
You can mail an absentee ballot or get someone to drive you.
You may bring someone with you to help you vote, except for your employer, your union or a candidate on the ballot.
Curbside voting is your right if you are unable to enter the voting place. Call and plan ahead.
Accessible voting machines should be available in every polling place. You can ask for one.
The machine features include:

- Zoom screen/large print text
- Screen/text color contrast
- Screen height or tilt adjustments
- Sip/puff navigation
- Touch screen or push button navigation
