Abilities First - Middletown

Abilities First is a non-profit organization that serves children and adults with a wide range of disabilities including cerebral palsy, autism, down syndrome, learning disabilities, language and cognitive impairments. Founded in 1958, the organization has been a leader in providing services to children and adults with disabilities, developmental delays and other special needs in the region. Today we serve close to 1,000 children and adults with disabilities annually in Butler, Warren, Montgomery, Hamilton, Preble, Greene and Clark counties in Ohio.

Abilities First received Tier 2 recognition for the Ohio Award for Excellence 2003. In 2004, Abilities First changed program names Beginnings Childrenrsquos Center was changed to Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC), STARS Therapies was changed to Pediatric Therapies, and Community Employment Opportunities (CEO) was changed to Employment Services. In 2005, Employment Services was reaccredited for 3 years by CARF, and Doty House and Hopewell Residential was reaccredited by CARF for 3 years.
