Amelia Galier Slama

Welcome! I’m Amelia Slama. I’m an openly autistic counselor based in Cleveland, OH. I currently offer services in Ohio and Kentucky.

I work with individuals who have experienced differences related to autism, ADHD, OCD, trauma, LGBTQIA+, trans and gender diversity, chronic health and disability. Many of these areas overlap in complex ways that can impact our experience with the world. As someone with lived experience in several of these groups, I am passionate about creating spaces to support and empower others within these communities.

With all services offered, it’s important that we work together to decide what you want to get out of the therapy experience. We can use different approaches based on what is most important to you. Some of these approaches include neurodiversity affirming practices, LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy, intersectionality theory, trauma-informed care, inference based therapy, mind-body practices, and acceptance and commitment practices.

Outside of the therapy world, I enjoy spending time working in my garden, learning about native trees and wildlife, collecting things, reading non-fiction, and going on adventures with my dogs and partner.
