Arc of Ohio
The Arc of Ohio-Stark County provides unique and personal support is to self-advocates and families that request information, referral, assistance with Individual Education Programs (IEPrsquos), assistance with public and private educational institutions and much more. The Arc assists children and adults with developmental disabilities, their families and the professionals who serve them. Navigating the ever-changing DD system can be overwhelming. The Arc is here to help!
The Stark County Autism Aspergerrsquos Network is made up of parents and professionals with a desire to help make a difference in Stark County for individuals with autism and their families. SCAANrsquos mission is to mobilize community resources to promote autism awareness, education and support to individuals with autism, their families and community professionals. SCAAN annually hosts The Arc of Ohio-Stark Countyrsquos Autism Forum.
Family Alliance Network And Support (F. A. N. S.)
F. A. N. S. is a support group that is designed to provide information and support to families, caregivers and professionals. Unlike traditional support groups, however, F. A. N. S. welcomes individuals who are connected to any developmental disability and all age groups. Potential topics for discussion could include: Individual Education Programs (IEPs), therapies, maintaining healthy relationships and housing issueshellipjust to name a few! Meetings are held quarterly.
