Candles and Canvases is a new, non-profit organization geared towards employing individuals with developmental disabilities (“DD”). We are growing a business where care, trust and job security is the ultimate goal. Many young adults in our community don’t have the opportunity to work. Our staff prepares individuals with the work skills needed to have a successful career outside of the traditional “sheltered” employment. Employment for individuals with DD is as vital to us the employer as it is to the individual.

Our goal is to establish a long running business which employs individuals with Special Needs/DD. We believe in enhancing an individual’s strength. We strive to build trust and we care. We want to erase the social stigma attached to Special Needs individuals and provide a secure job experience they enjoy and can be proud of.
