Constellation Schools
The mission of Outreach Specialized Educational Services (OSES) is to provide students with an exceptional educational experience by offering flexible learning opportunities, incorporating technology, and by addressing the development of the whole child. Through individualized learning plans and instruction, and attention to social, personal, and vocational needs, OSES provides students with an opportunity to experience success in non-traditional educational settings. This approach gives parents a high quality educational choice for their child with profound Autism.
Meaningful parental participation in a childrsquos education is crucial to the development of a successful educational program. When parents become educational partners, the results for their child can be significant. The OSES program strives to foster these collaborative relationships to promote achievement across environments.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
As an educational service provider and not a school, OSES develops contracts with local school districts to provide alternative placements for students with profound Autism. The goal of OSES is to promote student achievement among one of the most challenging and rapidly growing student populations, children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Beginning with the 2016-2017 academic year, OSES will initially serve students in grades K-2 with the most profound needs on the Autism spectrum. In subsequent years, the program will expand to serve students in all grades, K-12. Our location is housed within the Constellation Schools Education Center in Parma Heights.
OSES is innovative in that it is designed to increase the productive engagement of children with ASD by developing purposeful daily living and social skills early on and by using technology to engage learners. The program uses specialized intervention methods to provide a quality education that is individualized to each studentrsquos needs.
