Family Connections

Realizing the strong connections between a vibrant community and the families within that community, Family Connections has provided support for parents of young children for over three decades. In 2008, Family Connections received a grant from United Way to create the Family Support Project to provide information and support specifically to families raising preschoolers with disabilities. Families can choose from a comprehensive menu of services including facilitated playgroups, support groups, a parent education series unique to families raising preschoolers with disabilities, IEP consultation, and a quarterly newsletter. All services are provided at no cost to participants.

Family Connections represents a rich history of two organizations, Heights Parent Center and Family Connections. These two organizations merged in August, 2010 to provide increased, innovative programming to more people accross Greater cleveland.

Our organization has supported the growth of children and their families with the latest techniques in early literacy education, kindergarten readiness, parenting programs and pre-school education activities. The outreach of Family Connections has enabled programs to be off-site in libraries and schools in Greater Cleveland.

Joining with other community programs dealing with early childhood and parenting has increased the scope and influence of Family Connections.
