Geauga County Board of Mental Health & Recovery Services
The Geauga County Board of Mental Health and Recovery Services, as the duly constituted local planning and funding authority, is responsible for the distribution of funds and administration of public mental health, alcohol and drug addiction services in Geauga County. It is the primary responsibility of the Board to develop, promote, and monitor services, facilities, and programs that are responsive to the behavioral health care needs of the citizens of Geauga County. It is the philosophy of the Board to support programs that are recovery based, defined by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration as, “a journey of healing and transformation enabling a person with a mental health or chemical abuse problem to live a meaningful life in a community of his or her choice while striving to achieve his or her full potential”.
Outpatient Services for mental health are provided by both Catholic Charities Community Services, Ravenwood Mental Health Center and WomenSafe, Inc.

Ravenwood Mental Health Center provides comprehensive behavioral health and substance abuse services to residents of Geauga County, Ohio and surrounding communities. Services are provided from a consumer driven perspective, utilizing best practice models within a framework which promotes recovery and resiliency.
