Everyone has an inherent need to play together, regardless of whether they are disabled or non-disabled, young or old. There is currently no environment that offers fully accessible structures that are both safe and secure for children using special equipment like crutches or wheelchairs, nor one that truly allows children with and without disabilities to play together. It’s time to make our community better.
We will transform Middleton Park into a multi-sensory, movement playground where all people can play together, promoting a strong sense of belonging and community engagement. An accessible playground is an asset to the community and to the health and well being of all its members. Our work will continue until every child has high-quality, accessible places to play, grow, and thrive.
