Lisa Stines Doane, Ph.D. Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Lisa Doane is a clinical psychologist who has been licensed to practice in the State of Ohio since 2008 (License #6430). She earned a Ph.D. from the APA-accredited program in clinical psychology at Kent State University in 2005. She completed a prestigious APA-approved predoctoral internship at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), where she worked in the National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center serving child and adult victims of violent crimes. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals of Cleveland in the Departments of Psychiatry and Psychology, funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where she received extensive experience in the use of exposure therapy as a treatment for PTSD.
In addition to her private practice, Dr. Doane is a tenure-track faculty member in the Department of Psychology at Cleveland State University. She has published numerous academic articles and chapters related to stress, anxiety, and CBT. Her research has been funded by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH).
Dr. Doane serves as a member of the boards for Cornerstone of Hope and the Women’s Recovery Center.
