OhioRISE
OhioRISE (Resilience through Integrated Systems and Excellence)
OhioRISE is a specialized managed care program for youth with complex behavioral health and multisystem needs. These youth often require services from multiple community systems, including juvenile justice, child protection, developmental disabilities, education, mental health, and addiction services. Through collaboration between state and local programs, OhioRISE integrates expertise across systems to provide community-based services that help kids thrive at home, at school, and in their communities while keeping families together and reducing the need for hospitalization and out-of-state care.
OhioRISE partners with 18 regional care management entities (CMEs) through Aetna Better Health of Ohio. Each youth is connected with a care coordinator who provides individualized, community-based support tailored to the youth’s emotional, behavioral, and physical health needs. By transforming how care is delivered across systems, OhioRISE is improving outcomes for Ohio’s children, youth, and families navigating complex behavioral health challenges.
