Portage Path Behavioral Health is a nonprofit community mental health center that helps those without the ability to pay recover from mental illness.

MISSION: Portage Path Behavioral Health guides people on the path to recovery from mental illness and related substance use issues, empowering them to rebuild their lives and restore their hope.

People can and do recover from mental illness, substance use disorders, and other behavioral health problems. Portage Path is committed to helping local people who come to us for help live their best lives as part of our community.

Portage Path Behavioral Health’s high quality services are partially paid for through insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, or under contract with the county of Summit Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board – Summit County ADM Board. Enhanced services and innovation are funded through private donations from individuals, companies, and foundations who care about the community.

All of our services and facilities are accredited by the Joint Commission, a nationally recognized organization that accredits and certifies health care organizations and programs in the United States.

Founded in 1971 as a small, regional provider of behavioral health care, Portage Path has grown to three outpatient locations and an emergency facility with services available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
