The Positivity Spectrum
The Positivity Spectrum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to building a more inclusive and supportive world for autistic children and their families by promoting understanding, acceptance, and offering resources that improve their well-being and create opportunities for growth.
3 main programs:
- Camp For Kids- We have contracts with the Akron and Cleveland YMCAs that allow us to send autistic children to their camps with aides provided by The Positivity Spectrum. We raise funds to pay for aides at a 1:2 ratio. We also take ESY and private payment.
- Sensory Friendly Weekend and School Break Events- We work with local businesses to plan sensory friendly events with low noise. soft light, no crowds, etc. We offer 2-4 of these a month which can be found on our website and our facebook page.
- Free Legal Clinic- We provide free IEP advocacy and special needs estate planning for autism families using law students from the Ohio law schools and volunteer attorneys.
